Are you afraid of your mobile SIM card being cloned? Do you want to know whether you SIM has been cloned or not? How to check whether my mobile SIM card has been cloned or not? Read this article to understand the precautions and expert suggestions to avoid SIM cloning easily.

In this era of ultra-fast communication, mobile phone is one of the mediums mostly used by people and SIM card is a must for using it. But what to do if your SIM is cloned? That is, someone else is using the duplicate card which has full access to your SIM card account balance as well as other confidential details in the phone. Sounds quite strange, isn’t it? But yes, it is possible provided you are not well cautious about its preventive measures.

These days, people are getting frequent missed calls from unknown numbers starting with +92, +90 or +09 etc. Once you press the green caller button on your phone to attend their calls, your SIM is cloned immediately at that very moment! Yes, then while talking to them, they will ask you to press #09, #90 or like that on your phone. And if you do so, you are gone, caught in the trap! So, simply do not attend or dial any unknown missed calls unless you have legitimate idea about those numbers.

Have you ever attended to any such calls? If yes, then check your number in Google search engine to know its present location. Make sure it matches yours. Did you ever get any repeated unnecessary balance deductions? If yes, most probably your SIM has been cloned.

NEVER redial any unknown number for better safety.

To check whether your SIM has been cloned or not, dial your own number from another mobile. If your own phone rings, then you are fine. But if someone else picks the phone and your phone remains silent, then you must sure that you SIM card has been cloned. The best way to stop is to change your mobile number immediately and stop using that old number.

You can take your SIM to your SIM card provider and ask him to run a diagnostic test to confirm the issue whether the SIM has been cloned/hacked or not.

Give your mobile number only to reliable and trusted friends and groups. Also ask them not to reveal it to others. They must ask you first before disclosing it to others.

One more secret tip is: keep a separate secret mobile number for you to use in your bank accounts and business activities. None other than you should use it.
